Potluck and Discussion regarding the Resolution to the Chicago City Council restoring relations with Cuba

Share a meal and join the conversation related to the campaign to pass a resolution in the Chicago City Council on Cuba. Resolution Steering Committee members Sarah Staggs and Marguerite Horberg will co-lead the discussion.
THE CALL FOR A RESOLUTION IN CHICAGO CITY COUNCIL
This year an ad hoc group of people have come together to pass a resolution in the Chicago City Council that calls for normalization of relations between Cuba and the US.
The goal is to add Chicago to the list of 11 US cities that have already passed a similar resolution. We see the results of many ongoing people to people projects, and protest the curtailment of these opportunities to learn from each other. Further, we protest the ongoing harassment of the sovereign nation of Cuba through attempts to destabilize their country.
After 60 years of failed US policy, it is time to restore full relations. Please join us for lunch and dialogue.
