Halloween Procession: Memento Mori

Memento Mori: Remembering the inevitability of death and honoring our beloveds who have passed in this time when the veil between this world and the next is the thinnest.

6:30 PM: gather at the PO Box for drinks, snacks, camaraderie and procession preparation.
7 PM: procession, led by glam marching band CLAMOR & LACE NOISE BRIGADE, will leave from the PO Box, travel through the Glenwood Arts District to Heartland Alliance on Morse.
8:30 PM: return to the PO Box.

  • Musical instruments such as drums are encouraged!
  • You needn't participate in the workshops to join the procession!!
  • Costumes are welcome!!!

In workshops leading up to the night of the procession on Monday Oct. 28 from 6-9 and Wednesday Oct. 30 from 7-9, Kristin Abhalter will guide community members in creating procession props! We will decorate umbrellas with names, memorabilia, and paper flowers. Some umbrellas will be provided as well as hot glue, misc. paints, cardboard, fabric, and paper decorations. Bring any materials you see fit to share!
